SPITFIRE TRIBUTE GROUNDED

Thu Oct 27, 2005 2:14 pm

I read a story on the internet from iccoventry.co.uk that a tandom flight of Spitfires are not going to be allowed to do a fly-past at the Bedworth's Armistance Day Parade to mark the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, says the CAA due to "safety reasons". It seems that a Mr Gil Leach the chairman of the parade committe is working to have the decision overturned and is quoted as saying:"I will go down fighting - just like the Spitfire pilots did all those years ago". What a bunch of crap! Just another slap in the face to all those brave men & women that stood up for their country. Good Luck Mate, I hope you are sucessfull.

I bet the lawyers are the only winners

After getting kicked in the nuts and that person says sorry, the offence is still there.
