MAAM ww2 weekend June 1-3 website is now taking reservations for flight experiences. I got Panchito 9AM June 1st. FIFI and 927 are to be there along with a bunch more. Possibly the Canadian Lancaster might show up. Last seen the Lancaster in 2007 at GML, awesome. Gonna try for Warbirds over the Beach in Virginia Beach in May but time might be tight. Oh heck , I'll make the time!

I'll be there. It is always a great show and it looks like it is shaping up to be another good one. I am really hoping to get a ride on Ol'927. I have to check and see if I can make a reservation yet...

The cockpit observer seat looks to be the best seat in 927, get your name in that seat. I flew in FIFI last year and had the flight observer seat behind the pilot and it was the best. Hope you and everyone else can make this great show.

Just a quick update....
Since we were able to get both the B-29 AND B-24 and 4 B-25's along with all of the other aircraft, we have elected not to get the CWH Lancaster this year. We are just flat out of ramp space to put everything if the Lancaster was there too.
We will try for 2013 for the CWH Lancaster.
It's still a GREAT lineup and we look forward to having everyone come to the show and enjoy the entire WWII Weekend Experience!!!

Greg,
While I understand your decision, as a long time attendee I say get the Lancaster down as well! Park it down by the small trainers and blow the doors off the event this year!! If you have FIFI Lil, AND a Lanc along with the usual bombers, you could draw a heck of a crowd! Is there any chance of getting anything from the Fighter Factory?

You could get a Lancaster instead of a couple of B-25's!

As an aside..... Rides are already being booked for the B-29 & the B-24. Place a phone call to the MAAM and book your seat.... Seat information for the aircraft participating in the rides prrogram is available here
http://maam.org/maamwwii.htmlTrust me, as the first ride coordinator for "FIFI"..... she will sell out quickly......book your seats NOW! B-24 reservations are already showing up too.......

Mrs. Mudge and I will miss our first MAAM in about 7-8 years. Looked at the forecast for that weekend and the weather gurus are predicting rain on 5/30-31 & 6/1. Been there, after three days of rain, before and don't feel like spending that much $$$ to slog around in 3"-4" mud.

Jeez, those guys must be good if they can predict the weather nearly a month in advance!

The decision isn't based solely on the prediction. It's also takes past experience into consideration. I'd be willing to bet that of the 7-8 times we've been, it's rained before or during at least 5. If you'd been there you'd understand about the mud.

Mudge - you are just a wuss!!! LOL!! I've been there for all 21 of them!! Of course I had to - I was running the show!!
Don't NOT come out just because of the forecast. It is still over 3 weeks away. Have a little faith Moriarity!!! Always with the negative waves!!!
