I am in need of old pics of the Reserve Naval Air Station Atlanta at Chamblee GA.
Bill Tate has been kind enough to put some up on the "Warbirds PDK" thread.
My boss, Pat Epps is requesting pics of the old flight line with the F4U's.
I have sent a PM to Bill, but if any of you other folks can help, it will be much appreciated.
Best Always
Robbie :f4u: 8)

I think there are some corsair pics up at the downwind. I would ask Andreas to point out some old Navy guys, they used to have a small group gather there once a month or so?
I would love to see any Navy Atlanta pics you can turn up, Corsairs or anything else that appears.

Still looking for some more pictures of NAS Atlanta aircraft but the majority of the pics I have are of people with a small bit of aircraft behind. However I did come across another shot of a PDK P-63F (?). Enjoy Bill.

Hello,

The 27 and 28 of September the CAF Dixie Wing will organize the Atlanta Warbird Weekend at PDK.

We are in a process to create the website and we were wondering if you can help us to find high resolution pictures of the airport during WWII.

Here you can see a preview of the website:

Thanks in advanced for your help.

Regards,

Roger that, you might check my Facebook page and see the low-res pictures there. And then you can give me a better idea of what you need.

Sorry, Robbie I must have forgot to upload these for you but I am truly Sorry. The emails and Facebook reminders of the up coming 27-28 September, CAF Dixie Wing- Atlanta Warbirds Weekend at PDK brought be back to WIX. These pics are of the Corsair flight line at old NAS Atlanta and are from an Atlanta Journal Constitution Sunday supplement dated 25 April 1948.
Pictures are courtesy of the NAS Atlanta Reunion Groups archives and NMNA.

Very cool pics.

I am wondering if I ask the AJC for those pics if they still have them...
