TFC P-47G Thunderbolt Unveiled

Now, the question is, what will the 3 Razorback Thunderbolts, with Combat Records, look like when they come out of restoration with the same folks who did the most recent P-47D (Bubble Canopy) whose name escapes me. As I read, recently a small exerpt that those were the next in line to be done.

Steady progress is being made as more and more boxes of components migrate from the shelves and into the airplane.

All being well ~ we might see the first post restoration engine run before the end of 2011.

I'm keeping everything crossed it will be ready to fly for Legends in July 2012

A very good resource for aircraft modeling questions (with no offense to Scott and the model forum here on WIX) would be HyperScale. You can visit at www.hyperscale.com. There is a wealth of knowledge there. For P-47 modeling specifically, I HIGHLY recommend AeroScale's P-47 Heaven forums, which are part of the larger Kitmaker network of model forums. "Snafu" was out for another engine run / taxi run / systems test .....



All my pix from lunchtime today are marred by serious heat shimmer thanks to the spring mini heatwave we have right now
~ temps are almost double what they would normally be at this time of year ! ( Around 65 F when these were taken )





It sure does look nice moving under its own power though !
