Lancaster photo shoot

A strong link to the RAAF was the use of Lancaster bobmer in WW 2 over Europe by various squadrons. Recently the Lancaster Just Jane was used in a stunning photo shoot - see more - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... tures.html

Very nicely done. I especially like the fact that it looks like extra effort was taken to get all the modern stuff out of the backgrounds, nothing spoils an 'atmospheric' shot of a 19 aught zero biplane like seeing a new Ford or some other modern implement glaring in the background or an inflight of a 30's airplane over a modern mega mall on the ground when a 15 second delay would yield a forested area or farm fields as a more fitting background, the photographer really did do his homework.

I really enjoyed that photo essay. Thank you.

Some of the comments are awful. Shame.

OUTSTANDING shots!! It's a pain to be doing a shoot and at the end see something thats modern has crept into the shot.

It was an excellent day all round, organised as a special for any photographers who wished to attend and use us re-enactors as set dressing for their shots. Everyone seemed happy with this first trial, so there will hopefully be more in the future. :)

I see I managed to avoid being in all bar five of the photos in the Mail...
