According information from a source close of the aviodrome, there is negociation with a potential reprenor.
Crossing fingers: the museum host differents associations owning flying planes, a permanent closing would have more impact that the simply fact of "loosing a museum", as nice this one is.

The beautifull DC-2 is based there (If I'm correct the only flying in the world ?)

Is that your assessment from the link, or do you have other information?

Dutch Aviodrome to Reopen Under New Ownership – March 27, 2012
There’s good news from Lelystad! As reported on a number of websites, the Dutch Aviodrome was acquired by the Dutch Libema Groep on 23 March 2012. The Libema Group operates several theme parks in Holland and plans major changes to the facility, with it transitioning from a museum to a theme park. Reopening is planned for April 28, 2012, which the price of admission remaining at 15.75 euros. As reported in this website’s December 24, 2011 news item, KLM will acquire the DC-2 and it will reportedly be loaned back to the Aviodrome. The Lockheed Constellation reportedly will be purchased by the local Lelystad government and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Group and will likewise be loaned back to the Aviodrome for display. No word on whether either of the aircraft will fly again. The Libema Group will acquire the remaining Aviodrome collection.

There's other information out there, I wondered if you knew something else.

Quote:
its turning into a theme park...

I've been there, and it already fitted the definition of a theme park. It's not enough detail in the linked article to see what future changes there may be.
Quote:
..and parking the plane for good

That's not what the linked article says. I'm checking sources at the moment (hence my original question) and it is possible - indeed quite likely - that the aircraft would remain static while an assessment and funding review of the possibility of flying them is explored. Much more likely that trumpeting that they are due to fly at this stage without such a plan being developed. There is no mention on your 'parking for good', unless, as I say again, you have some other details to support that?

Regards,

Although it isn't really clear by just reading the info on that page, the measures taken with the Connie and DC-2 were done so as a precaution, so that these priceless aircraft would be saved for the Netherlands, instead of facing the possibility of being auctioned off and taken out of the country.

One of the items I have also heard is that the aircraft in the collection will now be more accessible - this from one of my Dutch friends.
