This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hey gang, I figured that I would start off a thread to list all the aircraft that we have confirmed thus far for Geneseo 2012. Stay tuned, as this list WILL change often! Of course, anything can happen, so no aircraft on this list are a 100% guarantee (as always.)

I might just have to make it a priority to meet you WIXer's this year!

Austin,
It looks like with the standown by the USAF of the ACC demo teams that we will not be seeing any modern military action like we did in the past.
But I hope you guys are at least talking to the NAVY? EVery year it was the USAF demo. It would be great to get the F-18 with Legacy Flight warbird hookup.

Unfortunately, we have tried both options to no avail. Martha, our military liaison, hasn't been able to book any military acts outside of our usual NYANG LC-130 and NG CH-47/UH-60s. Budget cuts have really hit hard apparently. I look at it this way, more room/time for props!

Though, I do like a little bit of jet noise now and then...

Another airplane that will be sorely missed this year is Chris Baranaskas' Mustang Glamorous Gal. It was being flown by another pilot and had a landing accident in FLorida last year. I was at the Punta Gorda airshow and speaking to a Mustang pilot who was familiar with it. He said it is in a hangar in Florida and has not been worked on at all since the hard landing. It will need major repairs before it flies again.
Chris and his Dad always supported Geneseo.

Definitely, "Glamorous Gal" will be sorely missed this year, just as Bob B. has been in each year since his passing. Chris has been a great performer and guest each year as well...
