I was planning on catching up with Fifi and Ol'927 in Reading, but I'm thrilled to see she will be in Morristown, that is only about 20 minutes away from me. 8) Will 927 be along for the tour as well?

I don't know if the B-24 is on all the tour or not but at least she will be back as Diamond Lil in name and nose art. That ridiculas Ol 927 name and childish looking nose painting are finally gone for good.

The Liberator and "FIFI" will be together through the entire trip. The only time they will be different will be when the Liberator attends the Andrews AFB Open House the weekend of May 19 and 20.

Great, thanks for the update Chris. I am really looking forward to seeing both bombers here in NJ and in Reading.

Perhaps could you have a bit of respect for the work of a member of this forum ? (and to Gary who did so much for this plane and is not with us anymore) ?

Sorry, but that have to be said...

I dont post much and i dont claim to know much.

BUT, that childish looking nose art, was one of the reasons i started getting back into the warbird thing. I thought it was cool as heck that they changed her up. I have flown in both the b-24 and the b-29. Cait wait to get back inside and airborn in both of them again one day.

Everyone likes different drinks, and to each there own. But your comment is just wrong for a whole number of reasons.

Certainly anyone who posts at WIX is entitled to express an opinion.

However...

1) Whereas the gentleman who painted the "Ol' 927" nose art is a regular poster on WIX, and

2) Whereas the gentleman who originated the name of "Ol' 927" is no longer able to respond to your expressed opinion,

I'm looking forward to seeing FiFi, Diamond Lil, Chuckie and the CWHM Lancaster in Hamilton. Not too many shows get four different WWII "Heavies"!

Regarding Lexington, any particulars that can be shared regarding static viewing and tours on the 20th? I'll be heading through that way mid/late afternoon, would love to stop by and see her.

Is Fifi still on the roster for Thunder Over Michigan? And will AM927 be with her as well?

I am on the road currently so I do not have the particulars with me. However if you go to our website and click on the schedule page you can select any of our stops and it will list the specifics for each stop.

Thanks for the interest

"FIFI" will be at Thunder Over Michigan. That was not part of the info that John posted as that is the next tour. The Liberator will not be joining "FIFI" on that swing.
