The Typhoon at Hendon came from the National Air and Space Museum in exchange for a Hurricane. The Beaufighter at the USAFM - sorry - NMUSAF has come from Australia which is why setter is not amused.TEXANTOMCAT wrote:Didnt we get a Tiffie out of it John?

OK - the Ascender is on loan from the NASM to Kalamazoo Air Zoo. I think they've got on fairly fast with the restoration. This is how it was towards the beginning:bdk wrote:My apologies! I was thinking of the XP-55 Ascender... My how quickly the mind deteriorates.

For what it's worth - I hope John will agree - they seem to have done a pretty good job with it in a pretty short time so there has been an overall gain to the world population.
