Youtubed the band Redlight Kings and found a cool vid featuring a 8 gun nose B-25, Spits and Lancaster.

Nice flight scenes.

Enjoy

I recall walking into a 'music store' in the Mall a few years ago and hearing this horrible, screechy, off key 'song' being played by over the stores speakers by something called 'Sister Scissor', when it dawned on me they were doing their 'take' on the ffloyds 'Comfortably Numb', I wanted to jab a pencil in my ear :vom: :vom: :vom: :vom: :vom:

All comes down to taste, and how far one is willing to broaden their horizons, I guess.

The tune itself is groovy. I can see how some of you old farts would think it's just noise... I'm gettin' to be an old fart myself and much rather prefer Mark Knopfler or J.J. Cale or the like, truth be told. But this is actually quite good stuff, music-wise.

The story... if you bother to take it in... is uplifting, albeit in a dark sort of way.

And the choice of story-telling visuals is all that we as members of our community could ask for. 'Tis a fine tribute to the same people we all honor by either keeping old airplanes in the air, or by supporting that effort in whatever way we can. Simply attempting to incite awareness among the younger generations is a very good thing. And whether you like the music or not, that's precisely what they are doing with this video.

Well said. Anything to get the next generation interested is fine by me. Just a different tune is all.

Wow! I liked it! Rock on, dudes! :supz:

Okay, okay, lighten up. . . yeah, I may be 53 years old, but I still dig rock music, and that was good! 8)

Personally I liked the video! They did a good job of showing the airplanes without getting ridiculous.

On another aviation/music/Pink Floyd note... Trivia question for the proverbial free pony: In Pink Floyds "Learning to Fly", what type of aicraft are they reading the checklist for? I've always wondered...

Not what I'd call great rock...but I could certainly see the young'ns back from the wars being inspired by the message. Always good to see warbirds in the mix! :D

For Inspector, an oldie rock moment...some Rory slide....

AIRNUTZ,
What great way to start the day and the week, nothin' like some classic British slide blues, makes me want to go dig out the Yardbirds and Georgie Fame discs-the kind of stuff that's now been supplanted by electronically created noise and 'musicians' who barely know three chords-love the little stuff in the film too like Instamatics with flashcubes and the kid with the early tape microphone.
THANX dude!!
:supz: :supz: :supz: :prayer: :prayer:   pop1 RAWKON!!

CWH Lancaster, Mitchell and fiberglass Hurricane as well as Mike Potter's ( Vintage Wings of Canada) Spitfire. Shot at CWH hanger. Great looking nose art on the Lanc even if she is just a stick on decal.

Cheers,

Jeff :spit
