The story mentions a snowmobile club. A few years ago I was researching wrecks and came across a site that said the snowmobile club had (another) seat from the crash in their clubhouse. it's probably part of the memorial the story mentions.
Makes you wonder what (and who) is still out there.
RIP to the crew and all the SAC guys killed during the Cold War.
