I would be grateful if anyone could provide any email contact details for the Historic Aircraft Restoration Project team that is based at the old Floyd Bennett field New York. I would also like to know if the C-97 owned by the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation is still at Floyd Bennett.
Thanks
Tim

I am pretty sure the C-97 is still there with the BAHF.
The HARP seems to have an active facebook page.

Thanks for that re BAHF C-97. I was aware of the HARP Facebook page, but would appreciate any detail of an email contact for HARP if they have one.

You will want to contact the park service.
john.daskalakis@nps.gov John is one of the rangers at the park and he can help put you in contact with the HARP guys.
What are you looking for?
The hangar is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

And yes, the 97 is still there, but hopefully it's a short timer at this point. We're getting closer and closer..

Hi Kevin
Thank you for your very helpful replies. I'm based in the UK. I volunteer with an organisation over here which operates a museum with a large collection of airworthy historic types ranging from transports through to jet fighters. As a result of my deep interest in historic aircraft I plan to visit the hangar at Floyd Bennett during an impending short visit to the area. I hope to be able to take some photos of your organisation's C-97 and also the various aircraft that HARP look after. I would like to establish the best way to get out to the location from NY city in the limited time I'll have available and I thought it might help to know of a contact on site.

When are you planning to visit? I would like to try and arrange someone to be there to open up the C-97 so you may tour the inside..
