Some beautiful photos of warbirds. I wonder what the owner of the Navion has in mind with invasion stripes, post-1947 insignia, and a "U.S. Navy" legend.

As usual, great photography, Al!

Interesting Orion with all of those "protrusions".

Not to mention the different radome up front.
An EP-3 perhaps?

Also, the other day I day a P-3 out of Whidby, it was in the circa 1962 white over dark blue paint scheme. Must have been one of the aircraft painted for the naval centennial.

EP-3, called an M&M, sister to the one rammed about 10 years ago by the Chinese-don't ask.

Beautiful stuff Al... super-grooviness abound.

I really dig that shot of Bad Kitty a few feet above the runway... thanks for posting these.

The head-on of Bill Lattimer's L-17...... :supz:

I have a LOT of hours in that bird.

And the EP-3 is a VQ 'spook' bird. We used to share hangar 6 with them at Whidbey.

Thanks guys!

Here are a few more shots. I was really bummed I got stuck on the wrong side of the runway for the flight of the B-25's. My shots are grossly backlit. Maybe someone will post shots from the other side.
