Right now I'm in the process of having the artwork completed, and securing the various photos for the book. The writing itself is basically complete, but I'm taking the time to research and add as many more of the infinite little details as I can during the interim. Transforming all of the details and information into book form has been a massive undertaking as you can probably imagine. Rather than just covering todays survivors, this book will cover the entire military and civilian history for each Corsair that survived beyond active military service.

FAS 219 was indeed the FG-1D that went down near La Union due to friendly fire. The pilot Capt. Mario E. ECheverria was flying S. of La Union near Zacatillo island when it was forced dwn. Details later as they come. Still to find out the date & apprx time! C/w.com
