This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

So are you going to be open to submission of photo esseys in the future for this? Like I need more reasons to take photes of aircraft, oh wait I have a 300gig hard drive to fill

Sure, feel free. As many detail shots as you can get along with a couple of overall shots. :)

Pretty cool Scott ! Loaded quick and worked like a charm, although I did
have the same problem as Tulio, but figured it out. Will the ultimate
version have a "zoom-in" capability? It'd be really handy. Thanks!

Scott, this is great. I'm working on a model of the TBF now, so this will be a great help for me. This is just another reason that this is a site that I hit at least twice a day.

Keep up the good work. I'm stationed in Japan, so this is about the only way I can get a warbird fix. I appreciate all of your hard work.

Yes, great for detail freak restorers as well. Shame I didn't know about it when I was doing the annual on the L5- as I had the time to get lots of photos.

Scott, when you want to update the warbird registry on Consolidated Vultee L5E N3706C, let me know. I have all the recent information on ownership and such, as well as current photos!

Scott,

Great work. You really did well by adding the other views. They really bring a better feel for the walk around. Besides, you would have to many extras on the screen if you tried it all on one picture.

Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.

I'm going to add some more shots for Avenger and make it live from the Avenger page in the Naval Aviation Resource Center

My current plans are for a Texan and a Fiesler Storch as the next two aircraft to recieve this treatment.

Neat stuff Scott.

Can we do a version for Tour Coordinators and Mainers too?
Close ups of "perfect" and "not so Perfect" hair.
Favorite drinks and a shot with or W/O shoes!
Weapons of choice, snow ball or PA system etc.

Awesome Scott. Awesome.

A great resource, especially for model builders. This can really turn out to be something! Keep it up.

It was planned to go live but I am delaying it for a couple of days while I upgrade it some.

Well, with the help of the Collings Foundation who graciously gave me access to there Avenger this evening, I now have 300 additional pictures to add to the walk around. I will be working on it for the next couple of days and will let you know when version 2.0 is ready for viewing.

Not quite finished yet, but version 1.3 is up, basically some tweaks and I've added the cockpit (including upper control panel) and a couple of hot spot on the nose. I will be expanding the cockpit in the next version and will be adding the ball turret and rear internal fuselage on the next update.

Also, the walkaround has gone live. The cockpit is finished as is the ball turret. I will be working on the rear fuselage for the next upgrade.

If you visit the site make sure you hit refresh if you have visited before or you will not be able to see the upgrades.
