On my birthday, too - wish I could go digging through the goodies.

Back in 1980, there was a thoroughly corroded wingless hulk under a tarp over by the big barn store; I recognized it as a Staggerwing by its landing gear. Wonder if that's among the items?

Oh goodie!
Okay on my list;
1) the XP-51. It isn't being used anymore

2) THe N.A. P-64. It isn't being used and no one knows what it is.

3) The EA-1E Skyraider that used to sit out front. It'll never be missed.

4) THe Pietenpol Aircamper. Can't seem to find a good one, and they look fun.

5) Curtiss P-6E replica with V-12. Really beautiful and donated before it was even hardly flown. The builder had just a "little bit" of help from Oskar Tischler and it is amazing.

Can I keep going?

If you want the Skyraider you'll have to keep going west a bit.

This actually took place on a small scale last year also.
I was able to view the entire inventory in the building and there were some ineteresting things for sale.
However,most items were not really rare , if they were they would not be there for sale.
Usually deals like this have been picked over by a privilaged few and the good stuff is gone by the time everyone else see it.
Still I will be there again this years as it is fun looking thru the stuff

I'll take some C-47 seats...to line the back of the excursion.
