Navy MJ-1 Marauder Folks:

Looking for pictures of these interesting NAVY Tow Targets aircraft. Acording to the Marauder in Action Boook #210 these fine flying machines came in different schemes: Overall metal, bright yellow, bright orange & the dark Navy blue scheme.

It also happens, according to the Marauder Book that the first JM-1 in operational service with the Navy began with Buno 66595- 66794 & Bunos 75183- 75207. Poss Navy SQ VJ-15.

Buno 66595 is the same aircraft that appears as "Bonnie" c. Reg NL1500M. c. 1949-1950 somewhere in the S. Florida Area.

Pictured below is an JM-1 with the #35 only for now as an ID/Buno. These particular aircraft had no armament installed. The scheme is bright orange. Photo via AEC

I'm not much into Navy stuff, so don't have much to share. Here's the two photos I have in my collection:

The second on is actually part of a composite...

Here's some that I've found around the net. For some reason I didn't keep a record of the sources for most of these.

Before I forget, here's a post on Hyperscale with a couple interesting photos...

An auction image, I think...

Not sure of the source on this one.

These came from flickr, but I didn't keep track of which user... however, I think that whoever it was took them from a US Navy website, possibly the NMNA's site.

This one came from Lockheed/Martin's flickr photostream...

I wish someone had a flying B-26. What a gorgeous looking aircraft.

Mark,
Here Here. Considering my Grandfather was on the the designers that work on the B-26, I would gladly pay for a ride.
