More info-
l/n 2362 4135541 B-26C-30-MA (AT 23B) JM-1 66598
l/n 2363 4135542 B-26C-30-MA (AT 23B) JM-1 66599
l/n 2976 42107640 B-26C-45-MO JM-1 75187
l/n 3094 42107758 B-26C-45-MO JM-1 75198

then a block of 25 sequential l/n-s/n;
4961 thru 4985, 4467945 thru 4467969 all as JM-2, However-Baugher lists BUNO 90507 thru 90531 for JM-2s, except 9 aircraft cancelled by the Navy and returned/reverted to the USAAF (4467960 thru 4467969) Havin' fun yet?? :ouch:

Inspector:

Good day!

Good Info & data of the S/N of the last B-26 Marauders. Tks

I'm still looking for a l/n/S/n & Navy Sq of for Buno 66595.

The last info on the JM-2 is also welcome. It looks now that all were 44-XXXX series. The most likely reason why they do not appear with a Buno is because they had to be accepted by the Navy/ Marines and then the sequence will fall under their Bunos.

We'll keep digging!!

Tks

OK, this is harder than Martian Algebra-BUNO 66595 (B-26C-30-MO) in one Baugher (USAAF/USAF list)souce lists it as 4135538, l/n 2194 . The Baugher USN list says it's an RAF MARAUDER II as FB 486, however FB 486 isn't a good RAF side number, the closest I can locate is in my production list is l/n 4195 4296413 as RAF HD 486, a B-26F-2-MA MARAUDER III, and that checks on Baughers USAAF list as correct as HD 486.
Give the wheel another spin!!!

I was there just before Sun n Fun this year and last and again during the Mustangs and Mustangs rally. I didn't see any dust on anything there. Have you ever been to Fantasy of Flight? I'm betting the answer is no.

I was speaking rhetorically, more in terms of 'Whens the last time you flew that beauty?'

Interesting- @ l/n 4310 was 4296528 an F-6-MA then l/n 4311 is 4296623 a G-1-MA that went on to the 322nd with the 451st as Elinore B SS*M. I wonder if 6622 in the photo was so badly damaged that it was eliminated from the production run and l/n reallocated.

I did find l/n 2729 417380 an A-1-MA that was 'condemned at the factory', that must have been one monumental rejection tag!!

'Engineering recommends remove and replace offending unit.........'

When you ring up 4296622,the s/n falls into a blank space in the middle of a large block of C-46 A-45-CU on Baughers list :?

Inspector:

Good day!

You are prob correct with tail # 5622. (Correction) Another poor picture shows the L/wing and engines on the ground with fire damage.

The aircraft behind tail # 5622 in the 2nd circle is #5624 and the next one appears to be #5626. Another aircraft shown damaged at the rudder/tail area outside the factory was # 5619.

Another search using 5622 not 6622, turns up l/n 2443 4135622 a TB-26C (AT-23B) and beyond 'target tug' no other comments, so unsure whether it was scrapped or repaired and delivered.

Given all the attention from the shirts and ties (engineers perhaps), it could be 'Gran Pappy' 40-1361 l/n 2
