After puttering with this thing on and off for a year and a half I finally got to call it done last night.

It's the 1/72 Airfix kit.

Nice job!!! :supz: Especially with the one shade of paint I have never had anything positive happen with-DAYGLO.
It either comes out like stringy chewing gum or in big blobs no matter how or what I thin it with, I won't touch the stuff anymore and yours looks wonderful. :prayer:

That was the color I was least looking forward to and I did something I thought i'd never do again. Paint with a brush! It took a couple coats over white to look decent. It's Testors Model Master International Orange and it brushed beautifully from a new bottle. I opened it last night and it's nothing but goo now.

I'd never heard this about dayglows, I'm glad I checked this thread. Model looks good, I always liked these "classy" USAF markings, with the grey/ white and the pinstripes.
How were the clear parts handled? On the Hobbycraft, the whole fuselage was molded in clear.

The very old AIRFIX kit uses the plug in windows so you can appreciate the acid trip vision

Yes, all the windows are separate unlike the Hobbycraft kit.
