Unknown Aircraft Panel ID needed..

Can you give a close up of the insp stamp?
I'd guess C-130 though.

Hate to reply when I don't truly know the answer, but I can't remember ever seeing a similar panel shaped or stenciled like this on a Herk, nor can I think of where fuel & hydraulics would be accessed by such a panel on a Herk.

The color seems to jive with a USAF gray, but it's hard to say definitively. Someone else may want to comment, but the "no step" usually (but not always) indicates an upper wing or fuselage surface. Also, the number of fasteners and spacing makes me wonder if this had been located in a high stress area. I'm also wondering ... was the panel removed from a boneyard bird or was it deemed not airworthy & replaced on a still-flying machine?

My uneducated uncertain suggestions: C-17, KC-135, F-4, F-18, T-33?

Here is a closeup of the stamp on the inside of the panel. Definately not T33 as its too thick.
