Smart man! (if it has dual controls).
Unless you are really up to speed...and stay there, I wouldn't fly a Mustang solo.
I'm sure there are cheaper ways to kill yourself.
A friend with a zillion hours in high performance taildraggers has a fair amount of Mustang time.
Even he treated it with a lot of respect. So it's clearly not something for a guy who flies once a month...if that.

I thought I had heard a roumor a few years back, that Cruiser Tom had bought a second Mustang.....fact,fiction,or spare parts? Kiss My Katie??? Thats like too many friends of mine that had their wife/girlfriend's name tattoo'd on some highly visible place on their body, then split up...Interesting conversation piece with the new girlfriend. Who knows, maybe he'll change the name to "Kiss Me El Ron"

Or find another Kate? Katy Perry is single again. Tommy would only have to change 1 letter in the P-51's name...tho, scientology may be too weird even for Katy Perry.

I love how this so quickly turned into a Tom Cruise slamfest/ insult contest.
The man purchased, and flies, a mustang and several other aircraft.
He has been supportive of warbirds and the military.
Tried/ is trying to get a movie made about the AVG-Flying Tigers (Who deserve a good movie one hell of a lot more than the Red Tails IMHO)
Collaborates with Peter Jackson and George Lucas trying to have more flying films produced...
and all you guys ( who don't have mustangs and have never had 1/100th of the hot women cruise has)
can do is talk a bunch of S--t.

Stay Classy, Wixers.
No wonder hardly anyone is on this site anymore except dreamers and those who can only afford planes in 1/72nd scale.

So what? --Makes for fun reading. These scientologists are real weirdos. This so-called actor, Tom Cruise, is a religious snake oil salesman and deserves the ridicule.

Has anyone ever seen him use it?

I saw it late last year at Mohave Airport for one of their "Plane Crazy Saturday" events. He had it flown out and set aside so that a number of WW2 vets who were attending could get up close and personal with it. Some of my friends work at the airport, and have sent photos of it coming into the airport with him flying it a number of times....
