This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Oustanding shots and history there Bill, the Mossi must have been in 1988 as its was at Breckenridge that year. What year did they belly flop the P-82?

The P-82 gear collapsed on landing in 1987 and the A-20 crashed in 1988

The CAF never owned that Mosquito IIRC.

Kermits Mossie. You also got two others in the background................the CAF Spirfire that burned up in Canada, and the TG-3A that is hanging in the museum never to fly again. That was the one and only Airsho it flew in, after all the work we did restoring it and nobody cared about an unpowered plane. I thought it was neater than heck.

I thought the Hispano went to Europe?

Great thread, Bill, thanks for sharing! Certainly a 'gone but not to be forgotten' selection! While overall we have a greater diversity of types and superior restorations and schemes, there are some things we just don't have any more. Not to mention even more importantly the people who aren't with us either...
Buchon N109ME is currently airworthy in England as G-AWHE, indeed, Roger.

While it's certainly a pity that Lefty's great, historic warbird P-38 isn't around in it's original scheme and form, what it is now is hardly 'unworthy' and it was, of course, one of the stars of the Flying Legends show this year where they even let Americans like our very own Spanner attend...

Is that Howard taxiing the Spitfire?
Also love the pictures of Kimberly Brooke with the spinner on it. I always thought it looked cool, even if it was inaccurate.

Shouldn't the "No Visible Means of Support" moniker have been applied to the Marauder?
