Anyone have a picture of it? The 1948-49 version of the plane had a small, crudely fashioned silver spinner on it....so if that's what it looks like, then it's actually accurate.

I've been putting some pics on facebook because it's much easier than uploading them to flickr for now.

Try this link. It will hopefully at least lead you to some rough pics.

If you happen to be around any of the Spartan 7W "Executive" aircraft, I'd sure appreciate any/all photos you might take of their cockpits/instrument panels, and of the two data plates located just below the throttles on the lower center portion of the instrument panel. I am trying to verify some information on one of the plates across the production run, and would appreciate any help you can provide. No emergency, just if you're in the area and looking for something to do...

Thanks! Hope you are having fun.

kevin

Where on earth has EAA parked them? I searched high and low Tuesday and couldn't find either. Is anyone able to help Kevin out (or get me pointed in the right direction, as I'll have Thursday & Friday to poke around some more).

Perhaps the critics are right: Maybe OSH really IS too big... :?

Haven't seen them yet either. I think the older and worn the human body gets the bigger OSH seems to get.

For all you facebook haters it's really very simple. You don't have to be a member of facebook to view the pictures, so just click on the link! Your computer is not going to spontaneously combust just because you went on facebook for 2 minutes. We wont tell anyone, you can do it, just push the button......

Al,

I've been told by second or third hand sources that there aren't any 7Ws on the field this year. If that holds, it will be the second or third year in a row without any Spartan Executives. Thanks for looking, though. If you run across any, snap a shot! But it sure sounds like you won't find any.

FWIW I don't 'hate' Facebook, I just don't intend to give them my browsing history for free for them to sell.

Have a look at the cookie 'facebook.com datr' on your computer.

Just because someone makes something easy for you, doesn't make it smart and doesn't mean they're your friend.

Moving along...

No Spartan Execs this year, but a really nice selection of Antiques. Just a shame that the Buhl family chose to take their (reportedly) very nice Airsedan away yesterday, probably never to fly again. :( it would have been nice to have at least seen it on the ground for the rest of the week.
