Anyone have pictures of these? (Fouga Magister)

Wed Jan 09, 2008 5:17 am

I need some serious WIX help. Is there anyone who can get me pictures of the following Fouga Magister warbirds? These are all ex-Belgian AF.

N906DM W.H.Watkins Co., PO Box 5327, Beaumont, TX 77726-5327

N909DM Warplanes Inc. South Burlington, Vermont (Dean Martin Warplanes Inc.)

N289BM International Flight Centre Miami, Florida (Tamiami Ariport)

Any help in finding pictures of these is greatly appreciated.

Quick question (sorry no pics) but was Dean Martin Warplanes responsible for importing most of the Fougas to the states? I just notice that almost all of them have a "DM" tail number.

Yep, they were here at one time.

Did you ever contact Dean???? Last I had heard, he was living on a boat in Florida writing his book. I am wondering if N909DM is still the fuselage that was still in Middlebury VT years ago.

Confirmed today that the airframe is still there.

I talked to Dean a few years ago. He couldn't remember the airframe. Best possibility he thought was that it was sold as a spares airframe.
And I would SO love to read his book! Hope he finishes it someday.

I have always wondered about the one sitting out on the ramp at Redlands Municipal Airport in Redlands, California. It shows up claerly on Google Maps at the West end of the field, but doesn't show on street veiw as it's hidden by a building. I lived in town there for 15 + years and never bothered to get an N-number off of it. Now I am 2500 miles away from it and wondering about it again...

Any known details on it?

Don't know if it is the same one. I couldn't get a picture of it because it was behind 2 fences, but there is one in French markings - blue body with red and white on it parked at Opa Locka Airport in Miami on the northwest side of the field near the FBO there and where the DC-3s, DC-7s and other classic propliners are parked.
