Where did you see AE977 in pieces Mark? There is a section on her restoration, but those are very old photos. Is there something I missed?
Cheers,
Richard

Fear not, the pic with AE977 in the background is many years old (before the aircraft went to America). G-KAMM was started alongside AE977 but other projects have got in front of it in the restoration queue over the years.

OK, whew...saw the pics but saw nothing saying that they were'nt recent photos of AE977 and G-KAMM and was wondering why AE977 was in pieces...glad it's not the case....clarity, people, let's use it! Tell us when they're OLD photos so we don't assume otherwise...

In fairness to Hawkers they are just showing the aircraft at various stages in the restoration, none of the pics have a date on them. The fact that these pictures were taken in the UK and AE977 has been in America for a number of years should have given the game away.

I saw AE977 at Duxford just after her rollout and participation in the Legends weekend in 2000, and then was surprised to hear she was coming to Chino (along with the Spitfire) a couple of years later, and three years ago I saw her again during my trip to Long Beach...funny how things work out sometimes...and glad to have another healthy Hurricane stateside!
