Good day!
That is a good questions if FAH 1013 refers to F4U-5 colors of 1950s?? I heard before "strata blue" but no FS code. Plz tell us What colors did the Navy/Marines used c. WW 11 & then Korea??
Tks

Good day!
What a magnificent restoration job! Congratulations to Mr. Hoskings & the rest of the crew.
The FMAH (Museum folks) in Honduras would like to thank Mr.Hoskings for the plexiglass/canopy donation. We feel very proud to see that scheme getting some sunrays at Darwing & almost ready to spread its wings again ...like good old times!
Plz send us close-ups of how the tow bar hooks-up to the main landing gear, the tail wheel area and the prop hub area. Plz tell us what size tire did you install.
F4U-5N Buno 123168 is an X FAH 603. (FYI) The # "3" only was painted in white (centered) on the R/H brake dive assy panel only and not "04", & "05" like the rest of the fleet. The "603" numbers were painted in white also underneath the L/R horizontal stab. We 'll be glad to post some shots later. Your plane used to be assigned to SQ NP #8 at one time during its active life poss Korea.
We'' ll be std by for more exciting news. Excellent Job!
