Has a firm plan been established regarding the restoration of the Friedkin 109E?

I've often thought that collaborating projects simultaneously would be easier no? Instead of 5 separate 109 restoration projects scattered, wouldn't it be better/easier to consolidate them under one roof?

Hi C Veich,

Don't know. Even though we have an amazing about of history on her, it is all from 1942.

Of course the owners want me to find the 1940 history. Bit difficult as the airframe was stripped back to bare metal during refurbishment/upgrade before issue to JG5. So it is likely only going to be resolved through log book entries or photos. Not unheard of as this is exactly what just happened with 2023 when a photo came up on ebay.

As for consolidation - would be a superb idea but doubt everyone would send these airframes to Craig :? and engines to Mike Nixon.
