It's unfortunate that the LIFE archives can be difficult to search and indeed sometimes less is more. I simply entered the search term "bombers." The link to the large version is below. The only available information was that it was taken in Fort Worth, TX. (presumably Carswell AFB) in 1948 by Cornell Capa.

Thanks for finding that, Craig - enlarging it, seems like it's got an N-number on the fin and wing; somewhere I've seen a photo of 39-025/NC62477 in NMF marked like that before it got its "nose job".
