This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I agree with Mudge based upon the results of his "Lighten up Charlie" thread.
It sounded like a fair piece of constructive citicism by Mudge and a good topic to discuss expectations. I'm disappointed.
You can't live your life with blinders on. Politics does matter in life and in warbirds. While I agree that political attacks and bantering can go too far, as a member of the WIX community, I think there should be some latitude. People do need to police themselves, and a traffic cop may be needed on occasion, but to lock every thread with even a whisper of politics is too draconian in my opinion and goes against human nature.
Might as well put a filter on for key words like "politics" to make them more benign like the swear filter that has already been implemented. Maybe those key political words can be changed to "harmony, peace and love."
In the mean time I'm going to buy a bunch of the "cheap kitchens" advertised elsewhere in the site since those postings are apparently OK.

I think the "NO POLITICS" policy is a good one.

I concur with bdk........Good golly, as much as I try to keep politics out of my everyday life, it is purely unavoidable with my wife and 5 daughters , 3 sons????
I believe all politically correct people should have balance in their lives, that is why I always have at least one liberal friend.
