I was talking with a friend the other day, and the topic came up about the fascinating subject of Anti-Submarine Warfare aviation. I was wondering whether anyone out there knew of an aviation museum dedicated in whole, or in significant part to this subject. I certainly couldn't think of one, and it struck me that there is room for a collection based around ASW aircraft exibited with a broad range of smaller exhibits displaying the amazing and relatively untold stories of this important field in military aviation. There are certainly some interesting aircraft out there which deserve to be highlighted properly, as well as the exploits of their crews.

So what say you all? Any ideas?

All the best,
Richard

Interesting proposition. I can't think of another museum devoted solely to ASW. It would be great to see a big, fat "Guppy" TBM flying around!!!!

I was a M.A.D./ E.C.M. operator in a S2F tracker and took 13 wave off's trying to land on the USS Princeton CVS-37 on a foggy night off Frisco. didn't have enough fuel to go to land, we were carrying a shape (dummy weapon). but that was 55 years ago, how time flys.
