Nowadays, a Hurricane is much rarer than a Spitfire, about 50 of which are flying (and 24 more of which have recently been found in Thailand, unused and stored underground). Only a dozen Hurricanes are airworthy

Seriously??? Does it come with Amelia's jar of vanishing cream too?

Nope. Just a healthy dose of puffery to drive interest in the auction.

Well, Hurricanes are indeed rarer than Spitfires, and there are, indeed, about a dozen Hurricanes airworthy globally, with something in the order of 50 Spitfires flying, or four times as many, if you like.

There was a reference to "12 gun" Hurricanes. Sure would like to see that set up.

Cool...thanks. Not exactly what I had envisioned as a "12 gun" set-up, but then my imagination tends to lean to the extreme sometimes. This is, obviously, the KISS solution.

Mudge the impressed :drink3:
