USAF Patch Collectors

Wed Nov 28, 2012 6:58 am

An advanced search didn't show any previous threads for patch collectors on WIX. I'm in the process of cleaning out several shoe boxes of USAF patches, mostly 1980 and newer. My goal is to keep the ones significant to my career and sell/trade the rest.

I believe one of the boxes has two full sets of ~1981 NOS enlisted sleeve insignia, both color and subdued, and IIRC, these may be the insignia used before the introduction of SRA and certainly before the MSgt got the 3rd chevron on top in case anyone is interested.

Anyone on here a patch guru?

Ken

I don't know if your stuff is too new for him, but you could contact Brians Squadron Patches online @ www.wwiisquadronpatches.com

I usually collect a-10 warthog patches, units and deployments. I would try for corsair ones but the price on anything world war 2 is priced out of my league. My father just picked up a massive lot of pbr patches from vietnam for a very low price. Anything from the 80's may not be worth too much unless you find a special buyer who likes that aircraft, ship etc. I think trading would be the best bet with other squadrons. I believe my father vested in a glow light to see certain thread used for period patches. Hope this helps a little
