3434 was the late Bill Piavis's bird. Years ago I sent him some shots of a wartime training prang, but soon afterwards, I moved and we lost contact. If I'm not mistaken there's at least one wing lurking around there that came off the prototype, RCAF 3464.

Hmmm.....I just realized there's a $7 million lottery tonight.......

Both are great Yale projects and sad to see them being sold. I have seen both aircraft in person. I believe the wing from 3464 is the one we picked up in AZ for Shane with NA-64 3390.

Nope, that wing was from 3425.

Unfortunately, the wing off 3464 used on 3434 was the right wing, the same one ripped in half in the forced landing.

They have two lefts, one complete and a partial right wing. I have a right wing so maybe it'll work out next time.

I had previously suggested that they could take the parts needed to restore 3434 off of 3448 and I could purchase what was left of 3448 (including the left wing and dataplate ) Never heard anything back. Oh well.
