Got vacation time March-April and will be in Ft Worth visiting wifes relatives and will swing by VFM, Cavanaugh and Nimitz Museum. Any airshows at that time?

Burnet, Texas late March/Early April and maybe something down by Ober's way...

How about Planes of Fame's P-59 or their O-47?

My guess is no and no. P-59 waiting for cash for the flight test program I hear and I think the O-47 still has too much sheet metal work needed yet.

I have no recent nor first hand info however.

Anybody know if the Tri-State Warbird Museum P-40 repairs are close?

sorry to thread jack: while not necessarily a restoration I wonder if the weeks marauder might fly soon. given the level of interest in the aircraft and kermit's pretty heavy involvement with fans of his aircraft on facebook, i wonder if he might gain some new interest in cleaning her up and flying her on the reg. maybe, the fact that it's an early model marauder with out the engine and wing camber issues resolved is keeping her from flying.

Have either of the FHC Lighthing at Westpac been started?

I just received the latest FOF update email and in it was this cryptic message from Kermit:

"What Lies Ahead? Upcoming Treats in 2013

Keep an eye on Golden Hill -- home of Fantasy of Flight's exciting future projects -- for an upcoming development that many have anticipated. Need a hint? It will be "Lightning" quick and create "Zero" complaints. I can say no more . . . . for the moment. Hmmm???? What could it be?"

I could only hope it's his P-38 :), but I know I'd be happy to see his A-20, B-17, B-24, B-29, or any of his other WW2 birds. I have to say I enjoy following him on his Blog/FB page.

don't know specifics, but they were working on one of them in Rialto. I'm sure they have made a lot of sub components.

The Westpac page hasn't been updated in some time. The work they have done on the FHC P-38 in the photos, looks to me as being well for lack of better wording. Perfect. The same goes for the rest of the work that is shown off on their webpage. On other fronts, what about all of the work binge done in Australia for both Kermit and Jerry Yagen? I know sometime back Kermit posted a photo of Jerry's KI-61 with some other stuff in the background. I'd be interested to see the progress of the P-39 in Aus. as well.

Long way to go yet. Engine rebuild underway. Major work needed to be undertaken on the wings.
