Some questions about Collings latest acquistions

Collings Foundation has emailed a newsletter "Mission Briefing" describing the history of their Fw190F and Fw190D projects http://collingsfoundation.org/enews/ene ... c.12.1.htm

And very nice they are too Chris, after having spent a significant part of my afternoon today examining them. They will certainly present a challenge to the restorers, as the Collings newsletter makes clear.

Introduced as a nasty surprise to the RAF Spitfire Mk V in the Dieppe operation, the Fw 190 wrested control of the air from the RAF until the debut of the Spitfire Mk IX in July 1942.

Perhaps someone should let them know that the Fw-190 was introduced in August 1941, a year before Operation Jubilee on 8/19/42.
