Looks like they have announced how they plan to phase in the amazing virtual aircraft tours my good friend Lyle Jansma is doing for them. The paragraph that talks about how they will incorporate virtual 360° views of the various crew stations in the B-52D is what Lyle is doing for them. In fact, here is a photo of him back in November in the tail gunner's compartment of the BUFF: http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-p ... 4988_n.jpg.

If you want to see more of the tours he has done for other museums, you should check out his iPhone and iPad app called Cockpit360, or here is a link to the cockpit tour he did for the Heritage Flight Museum in Bellingham of their F-89J: http://www.heritageflight.org/content/w ... -F89FC.swf

Darrell,

They really are cool and entertaining! In the near future, it sounds like these tours will be implemented into the virtual gallery tour the NMUSAF already has. Look for them to appear on the Museum of Flight's website as well sometime in the future. Lyle is a great friend and partner in crime... He really has a knack for these things!
