Discovery channel last nite.......

Did anyone see the show last nite on the Discovery Ch? I think it was called Secrets of Pearl Harbor or something similar. During the second half of the show several divers winged their way to the Bikini Atoll where they dove on the USS Saratoga. In the hangar deck was a Helldiver parked as if it was getting ready for its next mission. Pretty kool stuff!

oh their are plenty more submerged helldivers where that came from, along with live bombs & torpedos still on their storage racks. i saw a real indepth documentary on it years ago, i'd give my eye teeth to see it again!!!

Are you not allowed to dive at Bikini Atoll?

can't remember the name. to my knowledge it is free to dive or visit the island now, no restrictions. but there are no inhabitants, they were moved in 1946. they can't return because it is not safe to grow crops though, hence the ban on former residents. the native inhabitants have had a beef with our govt since then about being displaced & poorly compensated for it. by the way kid...... i would bet you are the youngest member on the site. i think that's great, i hope your buddies join up too as you guys are the future of the warbird movement. regards, tom

Thanks Tom, I have tried to get my freinds in on it but havent had any luck so far. I will keep trying though.
