to add to BDKs pics, I grew up right next to Del Valle park where the F3D is on the pole. It used to be on the ground in dark glossy blue colors. I logged about 500 hours in that beautiful bird.

There was a F-94 in a Duluth playground.
Pictures have been posted here before.
I've contacted the city, they don't seem to know what happened to it.
It might be the one at the MINN ANG museum.

The F-86 in Monroe, NY, is still there, accoring to Google Maps. It's in Airplane Park, just off hwy 17M near the intersection of Millpond Parkway. It's also visible on Google maps Streetview.

F2H-3 Banshee 126402 in Dartmouth, Canada on 12 June 1971.
No sharp edges and grass to land on.
The boy on the canopy is the only one who could have a problem as the tailhook is down which forces up the bar in front of the canopy. The bar keeps the crash barrier from coming into the cockpit.
The aircraft is now inside at the Shearwater Aviation Museum.

Beech AT-11 on a playground at Walldorf, Germany, just about two miles south of the Rhein-Main Airbase at Frankfurt Airport. The AT-11 was installed on the playground in 1966 and about two years later removed due to increasing damage and sharp metal edges who are too dangerous for the playing children. The serial or history of that plane is unknown to me.

The first three pictures show me at the age of eight together with my sister in 1966 while the last two pictures show the plane about one year later in 1967.

Where I grew up we had a plane on the playground, I believe it was a Corsair and I was Pappy, oh no, wait, that was a swing set.

The 747 was, I believe, PAN AMs first airplane and was the Juan Trippe (l/n RA-002). it's been torn down as the owners who spent a pile of money dragging it from the California desert to Korea went broke on the restaurant. There used to be a 749 CONNIE used as a bar on the Causeway in Metrie LA. back in the 70's

Interesting that the AT-11 appears to have Continental engines installed rather than P&W R-985s!

Found an image of the F7U at Wheaton Regional Park in Wheaton, MD. Image was taken from the book "Pictures of America: Wheaton, MD" by Laura Leigh-Palmer.

There were stairs leading up to the cockpit and a slide coming out of the tail. The plane was there from 1962 until the late-1970s when it was scrapped.

Not sure if it is still there, but there used to be an F9F at Pioneer Park in Mesa, AZ. Loved playing in that thing when I was a kid.

This breaks all the rules; a Mark 14 Spitfire seen some years ago in a childrens playground in Thailand. I believe this airframe has since been removed for restoration.

I know that the 747 was the original "Juan Trippe" 747, which was scrapped in place near Namyangju, South Korea several years ago. But where is/was the other plane? They have some serious ballast in the aft end of that sucker!
