The plan is to have the museum 'expand' somewhat, from where they are now back untill the parking lot area of the PX that is visible beyond the fence. They also were supposed to have the P-3 moved over now, but there is a big issue with one of the landing gear being broken somehow, and I guess it's causing problems for them to move it.
I've heard some different stories on why the 262 moved, and basically from what I gathered from all sources, the Navy was giving them a hard time about it and finally just said, sorry it's ours....give it to us.
As mentioned the Cutlass is down the road a little bit, north on 611. I'm not sure how the restoration is going, but I think that was the plan. The F-14 was taken almost a year ago now I think, it's outside as a gate guard somewhere from what I heard.
The museum did just receive a PA-8 Mailwing, which now is basically in the spot where the 262 was indoors.
