I don't do a lot of posting, but I must say that was creepy!

As an adult who is interested in this area, this is vomit worthy. Having said that, one must remember the target audience was a children's BBC show and I suppose kids may enjoy it and if it means a few become interested in aviation/ WWII history then I suppose I can live with it.
Cheers,
Jeff

No worse than Boudica as a Ke$ha-esque character. If it plants an idea, or imparts a little bit of knowledge to the target audience, it's done its job.
After all, how many of us got our longest lasting civics lessons from Schoolhouse Rock? ..."I'm just a bill..."

Well, I'm not going to be an old grump about this. I loved it!
Looks like someone put some thought and effort into making that video. Love the RAF mustaches and the part about Poles and Czechs.
Surprised no one else was amused. After all, the bar for humor isn't very high around here. You know what I mean?
"Amelia Earhart" "Freckle cream" Har har har...

What Jeff said. Now
that being said...

I dare you to find a children's program in the US doing this about Dick Bong's squadron, the 8th Air Force, etc...

I thought it was great. I think you have to understand British humour to fully appreciate this. It obviously was not meant for adult consumption. Heck, I'm just glad that the Battle of Britain is still being taught to children.

I thought it was kinda fun without being too disrespectful.
Others may disagree...
"This is extremely silly!"

I loved it!!! It's good to see the spirit of The Goon Show, The Two Ronnies, Spike Milligan, Dave Allen , Benny Hill, and Monte Python are still alive with sharply honed double edged humor.

Every red-blooded American who frequents WIX owes Phil a debt of gratitude for posting this link.
For years I've shuddered with guilt each time the Limeys accused Hollywood of distorting the historical record. Now I can simply point to this video and respond, "You were saying?"
Thank you, Phil. My dark cloud has lifted.
Dan (flicking wrist while whispering, "Take THAT, Hitler").
