Err, you mean "Virginia for Jerry Yagen?" Sorry, I just couldn't let that unusual misspelling of the commonwealth's name go without a little addendum, plus I thought Mr. Yagen might appreciate a little help, too (even though his full name is Gerald).

Great video, BTW!

There I go relying on my iPad to spell check for me.
I've met him on occasion as we used to be based a few hangars down from his AIM school at NE Philly. Made it convenient when you needed a hand to do a compression check on the Merlin during an annual. A class of students could each have a go at a cylinder with 12 to do.
But at least I have heat in the hangar now. Those were the days.

Anyone on the 'non-standard load' route between Philly and Virginia after March 12th should keep an eye out for this 60' container.

There's a good, free vessel tracking website "Vessel Finder" that can allow anyone to track the progress of the Mosquito to Virginia. According to AvSpecs Facebook page, the cargo/container vessel is "BAHIA NEGRA". Type this name into the search engine on "Vessel Finder", here http://www.vesselfinder.com/

The BAHIA NEGRA has made port in Philly.

I'm going to be down in Virginia Beach on the 23rd - 24th...could be a case of great timing! Maybe just a peek at the fuselage?

Good news! My understanding is that there are three containers. One is being shipped south from Philly to Norfolk and the others trucked - or vice versa? Maybe the New Zealanders are on the way!

It was mentioned by Warren Denholm that the 60' one will take longer to get to Virginia, so I wouldn't be surprised if that is taking a water route. Easier than various roading permits?

All three trailers are scheduled to arrive at the museum tomorrow at 9am (according to their FB page), apparently by truck.

yes starting at 9 am they will be arriving, we(the shop) didnt really want the news out there but the info was put forth and we have to deal with it now. we werent trying to be sneaky or anything just didnt want the extra traffic when trying to get 3 semi's in and out along with a big crane... unloading the plane and so forth. just really wanted to not have a crowd to possibly get in the way of us working. dont know if ill be able to get photos of it being offloaded, as ill be one of the offloaders, but im sure there will be something posted somewhere.
