I think it is a US made, and was supplied to some european allies in the 1950/1960's.

Thanks.

The truck appears to be an Autocar from WWII or so.

I sent this thread link to a guy that is VERY well known in the MV community and has written lots of books. Maybe he can identify it.

Thanks,

No problem with the tractor, it'is a Federal 94X43 4-5-ton tractor 4x4. I was looking for informatior regarding the fuel semitrailer. Couldn't find nothing on it!

Have you tried posting over on G 503 the military vehicles site?

It is not in the 1-Sept. 1943 edition of TM9-2800, Standard Military Vehicles. It appears to be a 2000 gallon rig similar to the F2, maybe a late war or post war version. I'd also suggest trying the G503 in the 2.5 ton and up truck section.

Already post in the G503.

I agree on the view of a dedicated airforce trailer, not present on the army vehicle catalogue.

Find a 1950/1960 refuel semitrailer, very similar, but with two wheel axes. Maybe the two types were made to a standard design, but with different sizes/use. (fighter bases, heavy aircraft bases?)

Other photo for comparison of their use. It is a real possibility that this is the "sucessor" of the "F2/F2A ", and the above one is the sucessor to the "F1/F1A" fuel tanker trailers, of WW2 time.

The rear doors and compartiments shapes look very similar.
This trailer identification is a mistery too, so all help is welcome!

The lowboy trailers in front of the F-84's are M-5 bomb trailers used in WW2. No idea on the model of GPU in front.

If it was made during WW2 it will be listed in TM9-2800 even if made specifically for aircraft use. The more I look at it I think it is post war.

I think that both these types were made after WW2, so they aren't in the TM 9-2800.
I suspect that they are the "replacements" of the F-1/F-1A and the F-2/F2A, in the 1950-1960's

Here is another pic of another larger tanker. It's diferent from the ones above, and dated from 1958.
