Looking for information on any Museums or similar operations that currently operate on grass
I know about M.A.M and Genesso but are there others operating up to DC-4 size on the grass?

EAA operates some aircraft on the grass from Pioneer Airport behind the museum.

http://www.shuttleworth.org/Nothing DC-4 sized, I think the largest aircraft they've had land there was a DH Heron
Duxford operates B-17s off the grass on occasion during the airshows there.

La Ferté-Alais in France: only one grass runway. Their B17 only landed one time (for its final landing) but they operated their others planes from there

Thanks for the input.
Our museum is looking hard at a second location as a flying site so I am looking for information on long term operations on grass to try and learn from.

Jerry Yagen's Virginia Military Aviation Museum in VA Beach is an all grass field and they operate a B-17 (Chuckie) among other heavy warbirds.

We've flown out of Kermit's place with the 24 and 17...they landed a Connie there as well.

Lots of T-28 owners don't like operating on grass. Biggest trouble is with aircraft with nose wheels.

Kermit's place is really a grass veneer on top of a hard surface though isn't it?

Maybe not a hard surface as such, but it does have some kind of special substrate. My understanding is that the long runway was built to handle the B-29. I was working for Kermit when he bought the property, and I remember walking around amongst the cows and Kermit dreaming about what would go where.
