34th Bomber Sqn. Thunderbirds

Fri Mar 29, 2013 9:03 pm

Hi Everyone

I am trying to find out the proper colours for the 34th Sqn emblem patch as
worn by some members of the Doolittle Raiders .
There seem to be many variations of it but I am looking for the early WW2 version as seen in Raiders pics
An actual photo in cr of an original jacket patch would really help as I am going to have one custom
made but need the actual colours for the maker to go by

Can anyone out there help me ?
Thanks

A quickie GOOGLE search under '34th Bomber Squadron USAAC' turns up a couple of patches first one just white with a black Thunderbird with red lightning bolts and red and white stripes on it's chest shield, second the same except the Thunderbird is outlined in yellow
