Taking some time off

Hey guys, I'm going to take a few days to a week or so off ( I hope ). We're off this week from the plant and I'd planned on getting a lot done around the house. It's supposed to be in the 70's all week. Unfortunately events have conspired to keep me way too occupied to get the work done. I spent over 6 hours today in the cab of one of our brush trucks eating smoke on a 1000+ acre grass fire and over an hour after that chasing a couple of illegal trash fires and then get back to the station and find out that I've been bumped up to department capitan and a new bunch of responsibilities that go with it.
Add in that the 5 year old is down sick and mama isn't back to a 100% yet and I'm fighting some sinus problems and it makes for long days and little recuperative sleep. Got to do the grocery and pharmacy run later in the morning and then I'm going to try and get a few hours of good sleep before tackling a huge pile of paperwork and insurance forms tonight. Will also find out if I'm going to be able to get the excavator this weekend to work on the plumbing or if it will be another week on it. Maybe if I'm real lucky I can manage to move some airplane parts around and claim that I'm getting some work done on them.......

Be back in a bit...assuming nothing else comes unglued around here.

It sounds like you should take the phone off the hook and not answer the door for a few days just to catch up.

Sooo....I'm guessing your AT-21-project photos aren't near the top-o-the
pile of things to do? (Airnuts running for the woods... )

Sorry Cvair, just kidding! Don't work yourself into the ground...your wife
will say unkind things about you if you croak and leave her with all those
un-finished projects.
