Thankyou very much Liza for the pictures. I have been waiting and hoping so my trip next month won't be in vain. I do so much want to see the Mossie fly. Now to watch 633 Squadron in the next few weeks.

This video was done with my phone, but it's the first US engine run from earlier today. The link should work even if one doesn't have Facebook.

The Mossie had a taxi test today, and she looked awesome! No issues reported. Test flight soon!

Awesome. Is Keith Skilling over there yet to conduct the test flight?

from what I understand from the head mechanic of the Fighter Factory your guy from New Zealand doesn't have the right pilots license to be able to fly in the US. So the flights are going to be done by the museums chief pilot for everything.

That's a shame, the US audience will really miss out on not seeing Keith display it. He's one of the world's greatest display pilots. I wish the US pilot well however. I am sure it will be great for everyone to see it in the air.

Nice!!

I guess a few of the US warbird pilots here on the forum would love to have a go at the controls of this great aeroplane?

So which side do you solo from- is it right or left-hand drive?

I cannot believe how unbelievably excited I am about seeing her fly this summer. I can still remember my father telling me about his "other" favorite plane (first was the Corsair) and how graceful the Mossie is and how beautiful and how sleek and how....well, all of those things and more.

hopefully Dad will be with BK and me in Hamilton in a month and a half! A broken collarbone at age 84 has sidelined him for now, but hopefully he'll rally and be up for the trip. If not, then we'll see her at Thunder in August.
