Good evening,

The DBAF owned Mitchell ex N320SQ (USAAF 44-29507) was registered in the Netherlands on 19 Jan 2010 as PH-XXV.
Kind regards,

Coert Munk

Coert...thanks for the (very) quick update. Any idea why they operated for so long on the U.S. registration?

Hi Scott,

That's very simple: It's not longer possible to operate US (and else) registered a/c in the Netherlands and several other European countries when the a/c has a non-standard CoA. As you know, I'm very strongly involved in DBAF's operation.... and that's the reason for the very quick update. :D
Kind regards,

Coert

Okay, so the airplane has a standard airworthiness certificate now?

I'm afraid not, it's the same Limited CoA as with the FAA.

Scott,
The first one under Dutch civil registry indeed!
It's becoming more and more easy to register warbirds in Europe.
Can't tell about the P-40 surprise, I'm afraid!
More to follow,
Kind regards,

Coert

Thanks, I thought so.

Not a very good image. On the way to Pinebluff Arkansas, taken from B-23 N62G, Merle Gustafson flying Don Weber's B-25, Don Weber in the Mustang, & Ronnie Gardner flying the B-23. Early 1980's.
