Was talking to Bob "Punchy" Powell today about the upcoming Atlanta B-29/P-51/SBD visit in a few weeks.
Since we live in Ohio he asked me if the USAF Museum had a WW1 Allied fighter with a motto written on the tail.
He recalls seeing it on an SE-5 somewhere either in the US or when we returned to England a few times to see some museums over there.
Just curious if this jogs any thoughts from the WIX experts...

German airplane, but this Fokker was at the AF Museum WW1 fly-in in September 2009 (photo taken in Colorado last week)

Can't remember ever seeing an allied aircraft with a motto on the tail-

Thanks for the post! Ernst Udet's D-7 was the first thing that came to mind.....Bob was pretty sure it was on an allied aircraft...will keep digging!
