Sorry Dave, no joy Saturday. Forecast isn't good for the next week either. Windy again tomorrow, and much rain for early next week. My best guess is Thurs or Friday. :( Ma Nature is being a stinker!!
But as long as she's good to us for Warbirds Over the Beach we'll call it even!

Thanks for the update. A shame about the weather, I hope the new pilot gets some practice time in before the actual event.

In the meantime Mossie fans should enjoy this which I have just posted online -

The Wings Over New Zealand Show Episode 45 - The Mosquito Honour Dinner:
http://www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/WON ... ito_Dinner

This was recorded here in NZ on the big day last September when KA114 made it's first airshow debut, at the Mosquito Honour Dinner afterwards, and contains all the speeches from that wonderful evening.

Fantastic! Congratulations to all involved.

Liza, it would be great if you could post some of your gorgeous photos on the Wings Over new Zealand Aviation Forum. We've been following the Mossie there since the beginning, and there's a world famous thread there, the thread's last page, Page 81, at this link:

If you wish to post a link to the gallery at - http://www.pbase.com/photozbyliza/ff_mosquito - on my behalf, please feel free. It covers much of the re-assembly done at Fighter Factory.

Just a couple of links to her last Airshow in NZ, both of the videos are montages even of different cameramen and different days I believe of the Wings Over Wairarapa Airshow Jan 19th and 20th, Hood Aerodrome - in the country just outside a city and southern end of the runway finishes at a riverbed.

The first video celebrates the De Havilland presence at the show (including many WWI planes too but not in this vid) with the DH Vampire and Venom planes included in a formation flight

and the second video, less of the De Havilland group but quite some time on the Supermarine Spitfires there and from 2/3 through more of the Mosquito and WWII flypasts with BOB and later Allied aircraft including an F2G Corsair...

more lovely sounds...

WOW 2013 Ka114 Mosquito and Spitfires

I can't upload images directly to the forum being a Newbie so can only use those off the net.

There are two other links - one of the early Full rpm and taxiing runs:

KA114 Run and Taxi

and the first flights, viewed some from on board too... thanks to Warren Denholm of Avspecs Ltd and Gavin Conroy, photographer:

Mosquito Early Flights

Many thanks to the photographers and compilers for creating these vids. Enjoy!
