Warbird Magazines, what do you read?

FlyPast or Aeroplane Magazine?

Warbird Digest or Warbirds International?

Warbirds ( EAA) or Dispatch (CAF)?

Recently subscribed to Classic Wings. Occasionally pick up Flypast and Air & Space from the bookstore.

American Aviation Historical Society Journal, WWI Aero, Skyways and Air and Space, plus various science and technology mags/journals.

I am afraid that the more popular mags seen on the newstands seldom have anything "new" to learn about aviation history, and some (ie, Air Classics) are so fraught with errors or unsubstantiated opinions to not be worth my time. I used to look them over at the newstand but seldom found something interesting enough to warrent purchase of the 'zine, but the last last substantive bookstore has closed in my region, so that opportunity is now gone.

WWI Aero and Skyways now have online subscriptions and I suspect that is the way of the future as hardcopy subscriptions continue to fall.

How are the subscription numbers doing for the major aviation news magazines?

Subscribe (and contribute ) to Warbird Digest

Pick up FlyPast, Aeroplane, and WI on occasion when I see something interesting.

I also subscribe to VETTE and Corvette Magazine.

FlyPast, Aviation Week, Flying....occasionally Air Classics or Air & Space if there is a particular article, Aeroplane if I'm in the UK.
I read a friend's various EAA magazines (antique and warbirds) when I hang out at his hangar.
I enjoy Classic Wings, but don't see it often.

Miscellaneous: QST (amateur radio), Caribbean Travel & Life

I occasionally buy other aviation and automotive mags on the newsstand.

No time to sit and read so many magazines anymore, so I only get Classic Wings and EAA Warbirds.

I have many varied interests, but I don't subscribe to any magazine right now (other than publications that come with memberships). I generally go to the local book store every couple weeks and look through warbird, train, model making and history magazines, and I'll buy whatever spins my spurs.
After a while, you notice that there's only a finite amount of stuff a magazine can put out, then you're reading it all over again. Me dad figured this out for me when I was much younger, when he'd been readinf gun magazines for so long, he said, magazines are like western movies, there's only a limited number of article types, then it's all variations on a theme. Heck, I was the staff cartoonist to a magazine published in the UK, and I never read any of those issues other than once, and I got them for free as part of my compensation for having my work published by them. They eventually went belly up and I haven't opened up one since then, even though it's a subject matter I really like.
I used to buy magazines all the time, and I rarely do anymore. I can't recall the last warbird magazine I've bought, but I thumb through most of them each month at the local bookstore. Every now and then, something will be in there that spins my spurs, and I will buy one.

air classics & warbirds international ( + I've published a total of 4 articles w/ both) aviation history, air & space Smithsonian. I pick up some of the foreign mags here & their but they are quite expensive!!
